We are ever so thankful for the opportunity to have yet one more fabulous MAGRR soul. When looking into a second dog, we received a call that Krissie was in New England and was in need of a loving home. Needless to say, we jumped on the opportunity. Once we met, the decision was made. This was a no brainer. We would never let her go. Krissie brought such joy into our home!  MAGRR alum Cooper was excited to have her join the family, as were we. She was the ultimate lap dog – in spite of her size. Krissie taught us many lessons in the brief 4 yrs she was with us. Having what must have been a rough early life, Krissie had many fears – exacerbated with the progressive loss of vision.  Through it all, she continued to “smile” and tell us how she was doing.  Not a barker, Krissie made noises to communicate – conversations that would go on for several minutes. She loved to swim, go for rides, and be with her people. Such a loving, sweet girl – we are again so thankful that we had the honor of having her – albeit too short a while.

May she run in joy, see with clarity, and have peace for eternity. Til we meet again sweet girl…
The Whedon Family

KrissieCooperWhedon2MAGRR friends are so very sad to hear of Krissie’s passing, but will forever be grateful to the Whedon family for being there for her when she needed them most.  It was truly a match that was meant to be.  We would like to express our deepest sympathy to them and especially in losing their 2 sweet MAGRR kids so close in time.  We know that Cooper was waiting for his beloved Krissie and that she is once again happy to have her big brother.  Both will be waiting for their Mom & Dad at the Rainbow Bridge.  God speed sweet one…

You’re giving me a special gift,
So sorrowfully endowed,
And through these last few cherished days,
Your courage makes me proud.

But really, love is knowing
When your best friend is in pain,
And understanding earthly acts
Will only be in vain.

So looking deep into your eyes,
Beyond, into your soul,
I see in you the magic, that will
Once more make me whole.

The strength that you possess,
Is why I look to you today,
To do this thing that must be done,
For it’s the only way.

That strength is why I’ve followed you,
And chose you as my friend,
And why I’ve loved you all these years…
My partner ’til the end.

Please, understand just what this gift,
You’re giving, means to me,
It gives me back the strength I’ve lost,
And all my dignity.

You take a stand on my behalf,
For that is what friends do.
And know that what you do is right,
For I believe it too.

So one last time, I breathe your scent,
And through your hand I feel,
The courage that’s within you,
To now grant me this appeal.

Cut the leash that holds me here,
Dear friend, and let me run,
Once more a strong and steady dog,
My pain and struggle done.

And don’t despair my passing,
For I won’t be far away,
Forever here, within your heart,
And memory I’ll stay.

I’ll be there watching over you,
Your ever faithful friend,
And in your memories I’ll run,
…a young dog once again.
