Kim Sevo Hughes was a very special wife, mother, mom & friend.  Kim earned her Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from Michigan State University and her Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  She was a star in the Memphis Orthopedic community and loved by all her industry colleagues.  Kim lived with passion everyday.  A few of her greatest loves were traveling with her family, being a Cheer Mom and Baseball Mom for her children, rooting on the MSU Spartans and enjoying her Golden Retrievers.  Because of this, in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Kim Hughes may be offered to the Memphis Area Golden Retriever Rescue.

When God saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be
He put his arms around you
And whispered come to me
He didn’t like what you went through
And he gave you rest
His garden must be beautiful
He only takes the best
And when we saw you sleeping
So peaceful and free from pain
We wouldn’t wish you back
To suffer that again
Today we say goodbye
And as you take your final rest
That garden must be beautiful
Because you are one of the best
