MAGRR lost a very dear friend and supporter when Ken Thomas was called home. Ken, along with wife Yvonne, were affectionately known as the “Dynamic Duo.” They were always ready to jump in their car to go and get any Goldens that needed a ride to safety. Ken loved each and everyone of those sweet goldens, even from those to which he just gave that ride to safety as well as those who spent time in his home. To say that Ken will be missed is just not enough. He also visited with perspective adopters and told them all about our organization and all about Golden Retrievers. He was such a special man and a true “Southern Gentleman.”
Ken proudly served his country during World War II in the European theater in the 322nd Battalion, 97 Infantry Division in Patton’s 3rd Army earning a Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. He again served our country during the Korean conflict with the U.S. Air Force.
It is well, with my soul, It is well, with my soul, It is well, it is well, with my soul.
We know that Ken has now joined his beloved Cassie at the Rainbow Bridge. They are once again reunited.
