The Louis Family is still in shock over the sudden loss of their precious Amber from stomach flip. Amber had a great love of life, she loved all people and always was ready to play with people, other dogs or by herself. She was very funny to watch her amuse herself.

Amber was attached to us, as Ginny and I were to her. We miss her playful antics and laying next to us, watching TV or using our feet as a pillow. In the morning Amber would come to my side of the bed to get me up so we could go on our 2 mile walk to start the day. If I didn’t get up soon enough, she would go to Ginny’s side and put her nose in Ginny’s face, then put her nose on the ‘touch me on’ light. She would always get her point across.

Only having Amber for a short time as part of our family, we feel saddened that we could not give her the long, good full life that she deserved. Amber gave us so much love in the short time we had together.

Right now we have a big empty space in our hearts and we will always have fond memories of Amber.

Rest in Peace sweet girl until we meet again.

From the Louis family:
Attached are a few pictures of Amber and a write-up about her.  She was such a sweet loving dog, no other words can describe her.  We were truly blest to have her even though it was just too short of time.  She will be forever remembered in our hearts.

So do not grieve for me, my friend, as I am with my kind…
My collar is a rainbow’s hue
My leash is a shooting star
My boundaries are the Milky Way
Where I sparkle from afar.

There are no pens or kennels here
For I am not confined
But free to roam God’s heavens
Among my special kind.

I nap the day on a snowy cloud
With gentle breezes rocking me
I dream the dreams of earthlings
And how it used to be.

The trees are full of liver treats
And tennis balls abound
And milk bones line the walking ways
Just waiting to be found

There is even a ring set up
The grass all lush and green.
And everyone who gaits around
Becomes the “Best of Breed.”

For we’re all winners in this place
We have no faults you see.
And God passes out the ribbons
To each one—even me.

At night I sleep in angels’ arms
Their wings protecting me
And moon beams dance about us
As stardust falls on thee.

So when your life on earth is spent
And you reach heaven’s gate
Have no fear of loneliness
For here, you know I wait.
