Update June 1, 2021
Tippah is a 4.5 month old, moderate energy Golden mix. She walks well on a leash, sits while waiting for her food, and willingly goes into her crate. She plays well with other dogs and loves to snuggle and be petted. Tippah is a quick learner and followed her foster brother out the dog door the first time she saw him do it. She then playfully came in and out about 10 times! Tippah travels well in the car and has been on three long rides of three or more hours at a time. On her first trip, she immediately tried out the dog door in the guest house without being shown. On other trips, she hiked to waterfalls, sailed on a sailboat, and napped on a boat dock. Tippah still has occasional accidents in the house, but these have been when we’ve been distracted or she has been super excited. She does her business when taken out on a leash and has also gone out the dog door on her own. She will make a super pet for some very lucky family!

Meet this precious girl, Tippah. Tippah was purchased at flea market for back yard breeders in rural Mississippi. She was in a small kennel with no food and water. She was covered in her own feces. The lady who rescued her was a single mom with a baby on the way and a special needs 2 year old she couldn’t really care for her but couldn’t leave her there. It was certainly her lucky day when that nice kind lady came along. Our member Sara agreed to go and get her. She traveled well in the care and was a little scared when we tried to get her out but quickly warmed up. She is so adorable and won’t be around long. I think Sara fell in love She seems a typical pup. I personally think she is small to be 4 months old but we shall see what our doctors think. Thanks to Sara for taking her afternoon to go and get her. She is a treasure.
