I can’t believe I’m having to write an intake report on this precious boy, but people are awful. Santiago is a 12 year old golden mix who found himself at a hi-kill rural shelter. His owner’s mother was moving in, and they didn’t want him under her feet. He doesn’t hear very well, but has the most adorable sugar face. This boy had no chance at this shelter and MAGRR was contacted by Tennessee Death Row Dogs. Thankfully a sweet volunteer pulled him immediately so that he wouldn’t have to sleep in the shelter. They contact met our member who drove him to our clinic. The volunteer who pulled him for us said he was extremely sweet. Our members agreed and said he was very calm. He seemed a little anxious (which is no surprise given his situation), but rode in the back of her car with two teenagers. I am just so thankful we were able to get him out quickly. Stories like his make me cry and roll my eyes at the same time. I’m so thankful to work with MAGRR and know that these dogs will never experience this type of neglect or feel unwanted ever again. Thank you everyone!
