Pickles is a very gentle loveable girl who enjoys hanging out with her humans. She is very gentle taking treats and will sit and has also learned to shake. With her sweet gentle spirit she would be an excellent therapy dog. She is motivated by food and treats and has tried to counter surf if food is left unattended. She has never had to be closed in her crate but the door has always been open and she enjoys going in there to sleep at night. She has never had an accident in the house and gets along well with my golden retriever.

Meet Pickles. We were asked to take her a local humane society. She was one of 9 dogs left in a backyard when a renter moved out. One of the neighbors had been feeding them for 3 weeks, but finally called animal control. She has a soft, stinky, full, dry coat. She had many ticks and fleas for which she has been treated. She has likely had several litters of puppies. Our intake team member who picked her up named her Pickles because we’re NOT going to let her get into a “pregnancy pickle” again! She was so quiet and complacent. I’m sure she knew we were there to help her. She never pulled and just walked quietly along beside me or stood still when I did. She has a soft mouth. She is going to be even more beautiful with proper nutrition. She has a beautiful cream coat and kind eyes. She will make some lucky family a loyal, grateful pet!
