Foster Updates

November 18, 2022

Nash is definitely puppy-like when he plays. He makes my dog look old. He’s doing great. Just needs a home that understands he needs exercise. We have had no issues so far. Smart and sweet. Leash training is going well. He’s more pets motivated than food motivated. He sits immediately on command, which is helps to control any pulling.  He is a wonderful boy and will make some family very happy.

Intake Report

Meet  Nash a  two-year-old male golden doodle.   He’s a beautiful dark red golden with a bit of curly hair down his back. Overall he looks very golden, instead of Doodleish.  No wonder he’s shedding so much.   He was acquired at six weeks of age.  He is energetic as he is still puppysish.  His owners have decided that he sheds too much and they are allergic to him and after a lot of deliberation decided to surrender him.   He’s an indoor dog, he is crate trained, housebroken, good with cats, kids and other dogs.  He pulls on the leash but she was also using a retractable leash and didn’t appear to correct him in any way.  He supposedly knows sit, stay, down, and lock up is the command they use for crating.   He will be amazing once he gets a little training and good exercise.
