It’s only been 5 days with Merry: This is an incredibly loving dog. It’s amazing how quickly she bonded to me and wants to cuddle or be on top of one of us all the time. She sits really well and also “sits pretty” without being asked, but that’s usually when she’s begging. Our dog, Tricksy, has invited her to play but that’s been only slightly accepted. She’s gotten a little more playful every day and we’re working with her to play like a dog. She’s not particularly crate trained but doesn’t object to going into it and she doesn’t cry at night. She’s housebroken, smiles all the time, and doesn’t get into the garbage or chew anything. She is possessive of me and of her toys and growls a little at our dog but will let me take things from her. We’re going to see how she is with children this weekend so we’ll keep you posted. She’s delightful and will be a great dog for someone. 😍

Miss Merry was picked up as a stray on in rural Arkansas. She had on a collar, but no ID or chip. So she must have had a family at some point in her life. She is a great size and weight is right for her. She was non-reactive to other dogs. Our Arkansas Coordinator, Lynda, traveled to the rural shelter to pick her up and our Memphis Member, Janis, met them in Forest City. Lynda said she traveled quietly and I never heard a peep from her either. She is gentle, quiet and easy to handle. She’s as cute as she can be. We named her Merry and with MAGRR’s help she will have a very Merry Christmas!
