Intake Report

February 15, 2021

Maddox has made himself quite comfy in the house… he does sleep in kennel at night – doesn’t make a peep and doesn’t get up until I get up. Knock on wood, we have had 3 consecutive days of no potty accidents in the house- he does go to the back door.
He loves loves loves all people.
He loves the snow- he wants to play in it but have to bring him in to keep him quiet…
His demeanor is sooo good.

Maddox hasn’t bothered the cat.  He hasn’t met a stranger- loves everyone.  He is a very happy boy- wags his tail all of the time.  He isn’t a fan of the crate, but that is where he sleeps and is getting used to the routine.  He is super smart.  He can sit on command and understands the meaning of “no.” He is beginning to stand by back door to let me know he has to go potty.  He loves my dogs.  He loves loves treats!  His coat is the most beautiful, black, shiny one I have ever seen!  He is a love bug!❤️❤️

Maddox and his brother Diesel were found as a strays and taken to a rural Mississippi shelter.  There seems to be a lot of Black Lab/Goldens being bred around our area and they are such great dogs as well as beautiful.  Many are mistaken for Flat Coated Retrievers.  They have that retriever gentle personality and sweet disposition.  Both had those terrible heart worms but have been treated and are doing well.   They get along with others well and are just typical lovely dogs.  Fosters have already reported how very sweet they are are.  Watch for more updates.
