Meet this precious boy. Lynda was contacted about a hoarding situation in rural ARK. Lynda asked a rescue friend who lived near to go and check him out. Kim does rescue and has been a contact for Lynda. She was great. She went out there and let Lynda know that there was 1 golden, a male. He was exuberant with her as she went up to the horrible cage that he had been living in. He wanted to lick her hands and was so friendly. He is definitely a golden. I arranged a pilot to fly directly to the next day and bring him back. Kim went and got him and took him to the airport. She was able to further asses him. He was very nervous – probably hadn’t been out of the cage in a long time. He had to be lifted into her car but road quietly once in. Once she got him out, he warmed up. She said he had a very soft mouth and let he put her hands all over him. Absolutely no aggression in him. She gave him some chew toys and then easily took them away and not problem with that. He gives kisses and is very sensitive. Such a lovely boy.
Upon arrival in Memphis, this sweet boy was terrified. Once at the clinic he did warm up some, but was still very frightened. Even though heartworm positive (no surprise), we decided to send him to foster for a couple of weeks to allow him to decompress before treating him. He is adorable and so sweet. He is going to be a great dog for some lucky family. Watch as this duckling turns into a beautiful swan.
