Foster Update 1/16/2017
This boy is fabulous. He loves going to the dog park and playing with his foster brother. He is awesome.
Intake Report 1/5/2017:
This handsome young fellow is a wanderer from rural Mississippi. He’s been being fed his whole life by a lady who “has lots of dogs”, but she allowed him to wander the streets “cause he enjoys his freedom”. UGH! One of our rescue contacts was in the area trying to get a mom and her pups and saw this boy, and called us. After talking with the lady who feeds him, she agreed to let him come to us. Clearly this was the first time he’s had a leash on his neck, been in a car or a crate. However he handled most of it like a champ. He’s a little bit shy at first but super sweet and loves to be petted. He’s not to sure about the leash and tends to belly crawl to you or stop and pull backwards. However, he is food/treat motivated so that helped us move him around. We did have to pick him up and put him in the crate, but once there he rode quietly and slept most of the trip back to Memphis. He has quickly become a favorite of the clinic staff. The report that he is wonderful.
