|General Health:||Shattered Rear Leg (to be fixed)|
Intake Report 3/31/2017:
Welcome Brownie to the beginning of your new life. This precious little one was surrendered to a very high-kill shelter leaving her absolutely petrified. Our intake coordinator met her and she was just frozen and didn’t respond. We didn’t know if we had the means to help her and then one of our fabulous foster homes stepped forward to save her. Thank you Courtney Kaufman for agreeing to work with this sweet one. Once we got her to our clinic, our doctor discovered that she has a shattered left rear leg – definitely an old injury. Our doctors also discovered that her tail had been cut off previously about 3 inches from her body. No wonder she was so traumatized as she was certainly in pain. She has settled nicely at Courtney’s house and is learning to trust. She loves “the boys” (3 senior MAGRR goldens) and really loves the cat. She will be getting the leg assessed to see about fixing it once she has settled and had a couple of weeks to decompress. In the meantime we are keeping her very comfortable on medications. Watch as this sweet girl blossoms.
