Foster Update: August 24, 2021
Bonnie is a true snugglemuffin. She loves getting petted and brushed and will snuggle on the bed with you forever. She lays around nicely with our dogs and has fun playing with them in the yard. She does like to lick their faces but they just duck out of the way. She has an exuberant personality so her whole body wags when her tail does. She is working on learning that unguarded food is not hers. But she is so sweet you don’t even care if she indulges in a little “snack”. Bonnie will make someone a wonderful companion.

We welcome Bonny Blu. Bonny is an owner surrender that came in through our website. She is fearfulof leashes and riding in a car but we are working on that. She has been through so much in her short life. The people who surrendered her are her 3rd owners. We don’t understand why because she is a wonderful girl. They got her from friends who picked her up on the highway after they saw her thrown from a car driving fairly fast. She’s lucky she wasn’t more seriously injured. She did have road rash taking all the fur from the top of her head and her shoulder and back leg. She’s lucky that fur grew back. It was apparent she had recently had puppies. One can speculate that she was a breeder dog, but we’ll never really know. The folks who gave her up here did so, because she keeps digging out into their neighbors yard when left alone in the yard. They had another male Golden and I asked why he didn’t follow her out. They said he was too fat to go through her hole and too lazy to make it bigger. She is slightly plump. She should weigh about 55 pounds and we are working on that. She was difficult to photograph as she never stood up. Obviously she was very frightened of what was happening to her. She is so sweet and gets along with other dogs. More as she goes to foster and learns good TLC.
