Archer is vacation fostering with us this week. He is a tiny (for us) 38 lb little addition, with a big heart. I would describe him as enthusiastic. About everything! He loves walking, playing, cuddling and if you talk to him, this is the look he gives you. He gets along great with the pack and has an adorable stuffed frog that he carries around. I have to put it away because my other dogs will tear it up and I don’t want him to lose his toy.
He is a lot of fun. We walk (he does great on a leash), loves his toys (who doesn’t enjoy a dog with a frog?). He isn’t too interested in the pool (really, only one of three of our permanent dogs will swim), but he loves attention! Archer is the ultimate Velcro dog AND I can pick him up! Win-win!

Please meet Archer. FYI his photos don’t do him justice. He is truly precious looking. He and his friend (possibly littermate) have been running the streets of a rural town in Arkansas for a couple of weeks and no one has claimed them. A nice lady scooped them up and put them in her pen. They are friendly with people and her dog. She checked with their shelter which was full. Taking them there would have meant euthanasia. This lady got in touch with MAGRR Arkansas Coordinator Lynda to see if we would take them. There was not a peep from either on the trip here. They both have pearly white teeth. They were very easy to handle and didn’t pull on their leashes. Aspen has very matted fur in lots of different places and of course they were pretty stinky. They will make great family members. Our vet staff had indicated that both boys are extremely sweet and just wonderful boys. They will be adopted out separately.
