Pete Field

Pete with his beloved Meg who was
adopted from MAGRR. They were best friends and went on long walks
together daily.

Pete was just crazy about Golden's ever since getting Elwood, a
homeless 18 month old Golden, in 1997. Pete and Elwood were
inseparable, they went everywhere together and when Elwood became
diabetic Pete gave him his insulin twice a day, cooked him three meals
a day and then guided him when he became blind. We lost Elwood in 2008
and decided we wanted to share our lives and home with another Golden
so we contacted MAGRR and soon Meg came to live with us. Meg and Pete
quickly became best friends, Pete loved nothing more than playing
outside with Meg and then watching her take a swim in the pond to cool
off. Pete would take all of us on a country ride almost everyday, we
slowly tour the back roads of northeastern Connecticut, pointing out
wild turkeys, deer and farm animals to Meg and her brother Jakie. Pete
was a kind and gentle soul who was a friend to all animals.
MAGRR wishes to express our sincere condolences to Pete's Family for
this terrible loss. He has been a good friend to MAGRR and will
be greatly missed. |
